In a group litigation involving numerous claimants and a looming deadline for identifying documents to be introduced as evidence at trial, Pogust Goodhead, needed to review 104,000 disclosure documents swiftly to identify crucial documents addressing three key issues.
As this task was nearly impossible using current standard methods, they sought a solution from Sky Discovery. The team at Sky Discovery UK had recently conducted successful proof-of-concept testing with Generative AI in document review, presenting an opportunity to apply it to a live matter.
By combining Generative AI (GenAI) with Continuous Active Learning (CAL), the Pogust Goodhead team effectively reviewed the entire dataset, ensuring all relevant documents were considered while also minimising the amount of human review time needed to achieve this goal.
